The Company

Hunter Bay Partners Pty Ltd (Hunter Bay) was established in 1998 with a focus on direct investment and the provision of advisory services. Since establishment, the key areas of investment have been in the resource sector, the technology sector, the food and beverage sector and the property sector.

The Hunter Bay Approach

The Hunter Bay approach has involved a ‘hands on’ involvement in its investee companies. In this regard, there has been either the assumption of a key management role or a close working relationship with management in growing and developing the relevant business.

Our sector experience in the resource and energy industries was borne out of a long history of advising on, and developing various resource assets. At present, our sector focus also encompasses the agri-business sector, the property sector, the food and beverage sector, the financial sector and the consumer goods sector.

In addition, to its direct investment activities Hunter Bay provides a range of advisory services. The principals of Hunter Bay have extensive experience in providing advisory services not only in Australia but also in the Asian region.

Hunter Bay also has an established presence in Indonesia with one of its principals based in Jakarta. In addition, Hunter Bay has a close working relationship with advisory and investment businesses in Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.

Regional Focus

The principals of Hunter Bay have had extensive experience in the Asian region and a substantial focus of the Hunter Bay business is to capitalise on the trade and investment flows throughout the region.

In that connection, Hunter Bay has recently established a company in Indonesia to undertake both direct investments and advisory services. Hunter Bay is of the opinion that the investment and advisory opportunities in Indonesia are substantial.

The Hunter Bay focus is on the areas of resources and energy, infrastructure development and consumer related industries. In this regard, Hunter Bay is currently working on opportunities in the oil sector, in base minerals, in financial services and in construction and development.

In addition Hunter Bay has established close working relationships with advisory and investment groups in Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.
